Fitting in Early; Problems with Integration Later

Cannabis and Young People

People who use marijuana before the age of 16 are more likely to encounter problems as they grow up, later in life the individuals who consume marijuana will be more dependent on the drug. Teens who use marijuana have a harder time with family integration, they are more likely to leave the family residence early, as well as immature sexual activity and early pregnancy (Center, 2011). All these factors are seen as deviant and are frowned upon in our society, this may be more difficult for people to integrate into society if they leave the family home at an early age due to the fact that these youths succumb to peer pressure in order to fit in at an early age but they do not think of the future consequences.
