The Use of Marijuana and The Impact on Behaviour

Benjamin J. Falls, Eric D. Wish, Laura M. Garnier, Kimberly M. Caldeira, Kevin E. O’Grady, Kathryn B. Vincent and Amelia M. Arria from the University of Maryland studied 1,076 college students about the use of marijuana and the impact on behaviours. To conduct this research, researchers based their hypothesis on the fact that many researches proved that early drug consummation affect the consumer behaviours. The study has been done between groups of 17 and 19 years-old and it showed a lot of information. Their first opportunity to use alcohol in their life was around 15 years-old and drug users had to groups; early ( before the age of 15) and later (after the age of 15). The research found that the first opportunity between opportunities to use alcohol and early drug use were pretty much the same time. The statistics represented that high opportunity of early drug consumers were related with higher risk of behavioral problems. Late drug user and non-drug users had not difference between their score so it let the researcher to conclude that late drug users were less at risk of having behavioral problems
